Check out a site I found via kingsnake.com called Global Herp.

They have beautiful photos of some of the most venomous snakes on earth. I love snakes and I love photographing them but I have a very healthy respect for the venomous ones. I leave the handling of hot snakes to the pros.






Speaking of my photography and gorgeous snakes, I took the photo at the left during the San Antonio Hot Show last November in Live Oak, Texas.

I seem to be having trouble identifying it. I was told that it was an Asian Vine Snake. There are most likely more than one species so this could still be that snake but I want make sure.

If anyone can positively identify this snake and it's venom etc or lack of, please leave me a comment or send me an email.
